- Students will apply current events to biology
- Students will be able raise biological awareness to the public
- Students will see how biology relates to "real life"
- Students will be able to apply biology in a fun creative way
Procedures
- Have students create a poster once a month
- Students will research current events dealing with biology (looking through newspapers, Internet articles, problems they have seen personally, pretty much anything that concerns biology and interests them.)
- Students will write a small paragraph why they are interested in the topic the chose and how it relates to biology
- A poster will be created addressing the topic
- Posters will be presented to the class
Evaluation
- By doing this project students will see how much biology is involved with and is applied to daily life
- Students will become comfortable with glogster and be able to use it for other projects
- Students get excited about certain biological aspects
